Cinderella

Last weekend, Ben played the part of a stuck up, snooty lord in Missoula Children's Theater's performance of Cinderella. Auditions were held Monday, and he spent every evening practicing at the school. Ben's new school has a lot of drawbacks--it's older, more run-down, and in a scarier part of town, but the kids there really have a lot of personality! Also, only half as many children tried out at his school, so every child got a part. (Rachel tried out at her school for the same play a couple of months ago and was devastated when she didn't get a part!)

Steven and Rachel had a great time watching the play. They giggled as Ben had to DANCE with a girl during the ball scene. I threatened them with their lives not to tease him! I know Steven didn't tease him because he knew Ben would come up with his own "ammo" teasing Steven about girls he has a crush on! (It was the same week as Valentine's Day.)

Ironically, Cinderella is the same Missoula Children's Theater play that my sister, Shannon, was in when she was in elementary school in Drummond, MT. Oh, the memories---"Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Pie!"

Sophie Sits at the Big Table

Another milestone has been met. Sophie has decided that it's more fun to sit at the table with the rest of the family than to sit in her highchair. So we went to the store and bought a booster seat Saturday. She was so excited!
Sunday, we learned that Sophia knows how to open the door to the garage. Rachel came in and told me she was out in the garage and wanted to come back in. She's gotten her fingers caught a couple of times--you'd think she'd learn that she shouldn't do that!
